Intense Face Plant — FAQ

How do I apply Intense Face Plant?
Warm a small amount between your fingertips until it melts, then press gently into clean skin using upward strokes. A little goes a long way — start with a pea-sized amount and build from there. It can be applied to the face, lips, hands, cuticles, or any area that feels dry, tight, or depleted.
What is the texture like?
Intense Face Plant is a concentrated balm that melts on contact with skin. It has a smooth, non-greasy finish and absorbs cleanly without leaving residue. Once applied, skin feels comforted, balanced, and silky — not heavy or occlusive.
Where does it fit in my routine?
It is flexible enough for multiple routine positions:
• Last step, morning: Apply after serums as your moisturiser and glow finisher before SPF.
• Last step, evening: Use as your final moisturiser or layer over a serum as an overnight mask.
• Skin reset: Apply a slightly thicker layer on evenings when skin feels over-exfoliated, stressed, or reactive.
• Targeted use: Dab onto lips, cuticles, or dry patches at any point in the day.
Is Intense Face Plant suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We are unable to issue a safety or suitability verdict for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. What we can do is share the full ingredient list so you can have an informed conversation with your midwife, obstetrician, or clinician before use.
Full ingredient list:
Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, Macadamia Seed Oil, Beeswax, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Rosehip Fruit Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Arrowroot Powder, Vanilla Fruit Extract, Carrot Seed Oil, Mānuka Branch/Leaf Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
A few ingredients that are commonly discussed in the context of pregnancy:
• Rosehip Oil — Rich in naturally occurring vitamin A precursors (carotenoids) and essential fatty acids. Unlike synthetic retinoids, rosehip oil is not a retinol derivative, but some practitioners advise caution with concentrated vitamin A sources during the first trimester.
• Carrot Seed Oil — A botanical oil containing beta-carotene (a vitamin A precursor). As with rosehip, carotenoids in topical form are not the same as synthetic retinoids, but your clinician may wish to factor this into their guidance.
• Mānuka Oil — A New Zealand botanical oil with calming and balancing properties. It is distinct from mānuka honey. Topical use of mānuka oil is not commonly flagged in obstetric guidance, but we recommend raising it with your clinician if you have any uncertainty.
• Essential fatty acid-rich oils (Shea, Coconut, Avocado, Camellia, Macadamia, Sweet Almond, Jojoba, Sunflower) — Generally regarded as gentle carrier lipids and butters. However, individual sensitivities can vary during pregnancy and your clinician is best placed to advise.
Please consult your midwife, obstetrician, or qualified healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. This information is provided for reference only and does not constitute medical advice.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Intense Face Plant was formulated with sensitive and reactive skin in mind. The waterless, botanical formula avoids synthetic fragrance, parabens, and harsh preservatives. It is designed to calm, support the barrier, and reduce reactivity over time. If you have known allergies to any ingredient listed above, please review the full ingredient list before use.
Can I use it as a lip balm or on areas other than my face?
Yes. It works well on lips, cuticles, hands, and any area of dry or depleted skin. The formula is concentrated and multi-use by design.
